Iconic Italian clothing designers Dolce and Gabbana are celebrating 25 years at the top of the fashion industry in the utmost style by doing what they do best at Milan Fashion Week.
The brand truly proved the "if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it" mantra is true by sticking to what they know and fashionistas the world over love.
Going back to their roots, the designers showed that their 25-year history in the business has made them the creators of signature pieces that are the absolute epitome of chic.
Classic black tailored blazers were paired with lace and black satin waist-minimising corsets in order to subtly combine this season’s romantic trends with what the Italian clothing designers are famed for.
Leopard print and polka dots also appeared in the collection but in a sophisticated, grown-up manner, with more corsetry and figure-hugging high-waist pencil skirts creating stunning feminine silhouettes.
In my opinion, it’s nice to see Dolce and Gabbana’s classic-with-a-modern-twist collection successfully bringing Milan Fashion Week back into the headlines for all the right reasons.
The past few days of coverage have been marred by various show organisers voicing their discontent over the fact that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour could only dedicate three of her busy days to the fashion event.
Is Dolce and Gabbana a label that you can always rely on?
