Gwen Stefani launches autumn collection at New York Fashion Week

Here at Secret Sales HQ we absolutely love Gwen Stefani and I think her LAMB collection is one of the best celebrity designer efforts around.

And now the star has proven to the world that she is a fashion force to be reckoned with as she unveiled her autumn clothing collection at New York Fashion Week.

Unfortunately, I am still here in London eagerly awaiting the start of London Fashion Week on February 19th and so I wasn’t able to attend the event.

But luckily, my fashionista pals over at the Daily Mail have revealed the highlights of the fabulous clothing collection.

A fusion of hard military styles coupled with pretty corsets featured heavily in the showcase.

Futuristic styles and dresses emulating this season’s trend of shoulder pads were also seen adorning the catwalk, while leather was the material of choice for much of the collection.

Gwen looked nothing short of fabulous at the event, sporting a high-necked leather jacket and black bloomer short combo.

And she even dressed up her adorable 18-month-old son Zuma in a matching black leather jacket – now that is certainly going to be one fashion-forward kid.

The pop star-turned-designer also paid her respects to the late Alexander McQueen, calling the icon a "genius".

"He was so generous. It’s so devastating. I think people are going to feel it for a long time," she said.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Kelly Osbourne were some of the celebrity faces that made up Gwen’s adoring crowd at the show – if only I could have joined them.

Do you think Gwen Stefani makes a better fashion designer or pop star?

I agree,Gwen’s latest L.A.M.B. is AMAZING. I think Gwen is equally talented both as a musician and a designer – in both fields she has such a unique and superb artistic vision and it’s obvious she puts her whole heart into both careers :)
