Not only has London Fashion Week (LFW) been momentous this year because of its 25th anniversary, it also saw the return of Burberry to the capital from Milan where the collections are usually unveiled.
It should therefore come as no surprise that fashion’s biggest A-list names made a point of attending yesterday to witness Burberry’s comeback – in fact, the front row looked more like the Oscars than LFW!
Among those in attendance were the usual faces including Alexa Chung, Agyness Deyn and Daisy Lowe, but the big guns quickly emerged in the form of Victoria Beckham, Anna Wintour, Gwyneth Paltrow, Liv Tyler, Mario Testino and Mary Kate Olsen.
However, the fashionista to make the biggest impact at the show, even more so than the designer clothing range itself, was the face of Burberry, Emma Watson.
Taking time off from her first term at the prestigious Brown University in the US, the Harry Potter actress jetted home to celebrate the biggest moment in LFW. She looked absolutely radiant in a dress by the same label – a glitzy gold thigh-skimming number with a bang-on-trend zip halfway down the front and a black belt cinching in the waist. She paired the gorgeous dress with vertiginous black cut-out platforms that allowed the tiny vixen to hold her own among the towering models around her!
