Ah, Anne Hathaway is just so beautiful, talented, charming and stylish – or at least she was until she made one of the biggest fashion blunders known to mankind!
The Devil Wears Prada actress (yes, you’d think she’d know better) was spotted in New York City this week taking a stroll down the street with her boyfriend Adam Shulman.
Clearly trying to live up to the onscreen stylista she played in the aforementioned movie, Anne donned a very on-trend playsuit. It was black and chic, and one would think fairly inoffensive. At least that was until the 26-year-old decided to over-style it with a big thick belt. Needless to say, there was puckering and the suit ended up hiking a little too far up Anne’s uber-long legs. Gasp.
As if leaving very little to the imagination wasn’t enough of a disaster, Anne also opted to wear a very unflattering shirt over her unforgiving ensemble, which I’m convinced may very well have been one of boyfriend Adam’s old work ones! The effect was unsightly and the would-be fashionista was left looking as though she’d forgotten to put her trousers on before leaving the house!
I sympathise with her, really I do. I’ll admit that I have gone out before dolled up to the nines in a fabulous little designer dress without realising just how skimpy it actually was. You end up throwing a big jacket over it in an attempt to protect your modesty (or an oversized shirt) and end up making it worse.
It’s pure cringe-worthy stuff, but I’m sure Anne will get over it – provided the next ensemble she steps out in isn’t a big flop too.
Fashion is so fickle – don’t you love it?

hey….you’re so cool….!
